Visitors

We had family visiting this weekend and it was great.  We spent as much time together as we could yet it didn't seem to be enough.  What's sad about this is that some of our visiting family lives only 40 minutes away and yet we never see them.  The highlight of the visit was of course the baby.  We finally got to meet the newest member of the family: Brayden Shuldburg.  What a cutie pie.  He was always so happy and content.   Even when being held by Lexie.

You could tell he came from a happy home. Hearing him laugh with his daddy and my kids Saturday morning as I lay in bed almost made me miss having a baby and then I heard my kids and remembered that babies grow up.  I love my kids, but sometimes I wish they were back in the 8mo old age when they were all giggly and happy.
With a baby in the house I broke out the baby toys and not only did the baby love them, but Peter and even Evan enjoyed them.

And then there was granny.  So glad she came, but I can never seem to get a serious picture with her.  Maybe someday....

So much fun, but so little time.  Really everyone needs to move close by use (because we live in the prettiest area of the USA) so we can have family get togethers more often at least once a month.

Primary Olympics

It's summer or at least June, but do you think the weather cares?  Nope it sure don't.  The primary had this Summer Olympic activity all planned out and it rains.  All day long.  All week long.  The rain never stops, but that didn't stop us from having the activity.  It just all got moved inside instead.
One activity was a ball pushing race.  With noses!

Even the Primary President (Aunt Brin) got into the game

Then there was tug-o-war

We also had a javelin throw with pool noodles and shot put with water balloons.  It was lots of fun and gave me ideas for 4th July activities.

Evan's Field Trip

The first graders took a field trip to a local farm and luckily Aunt Paige was in attendance.  Because of her we have these pictures of Evan.

The big T-W-O

My baby in now two!  Where did the time go?  I love my sweet little Peter and pray he stays just as sweet as he gets older.  He's starting to talk although it is still hard to understand and we're still waiting on potty training.  He'll sit on the toilet and enjoy it, but will not actually go to the bathroom yet.  Sigh....maybe when summer is over.
Holding his birthday cake with Aunt Brin.  In case you can't tell those are balloons.  He loves balloons.

Big boy growing up

Sometimes I think he could just stay this age and I would be happy and then I remember the poppy diapers.  He loves to laugh and play.  He is a big outdoor boy and is very grumpy when we can't go out or when we have to come back in.  Grumpy may just be an understatement.  He loves with all his heart and body.  I love my little man.

Hats

Peter loves to wear hats, especially if they aren't his.  He happened to find Chris' baseball hat and looked cute running around with it and only a diaper on.

He came towards me for protection.  Someone was trying to take the hat back.  I didn't offer much but I did try to get kisses.  He would only tease me though.

Bowling

The Fam and I do mean all of us extended too, went bowling for Justin's birthday.  For part of it there was black lighting and Doug got some pics.  I was late because I had a physical therapy appointment.

The kids love bowling and we really should go more often.

Baseball

May was the month of baseball.  Games Monday-Thursday.  How we made it I'm not sure, but somehow we managed.  Life was crazy, but it was good for Evan and Chris to try out a sport.  At times it was fun and at other times it was painful.  Luckily we had some friends on the team so it made it a little more bearable on those not so fun times.

I probably should have taken more pictures, but really I was just tired and lucky to get the kids where they needed to be......
