Trip to Silverwood

Every year the school here has a reading challenge for the students. If the kids want to participate they try to read 600 minutes in one month and their prize is a free ticket to the local theme park - Silverwood. The last couple of years we have completed the program for Ben but never went. This past year Ben and Chris both did it so we couldn't let 2 free tickets go to waste. Doug took them one Friday in August. The boys had lots of fun and I think Doug did too. It has grown since the last time he had been there. The weather was perfect for the day trip.
After finally arriving at their destination (road construction was horrible) everyone had to walk through a tunnel under the highway.

Ben and Chris at the enterance to Silverwood. They each had a park map just in case.

First stop was the water park. This was the polliwog part of the water park. The boys loved it. Water was always pouring down and they could go and be free. The water was very shallow so Doug didn't worry about them in it.

For some reason I always like the caged pictures. Maybe because I can't cage them at home? Not sure.

Look Grandma, we found your lemonade stand.
