Christmas Eve

We had visitors over for Christmas Eve and I'm not talking about Santa although he did come we just didn't see him.  Granny (Doug's mom) and Kaytie with William and her kids came over.  We played games and ate waaayyy too much food.  We also exchanged some gifts and just had fun being together.  We don't have too many traditions when it comes to Christmas Eve, however, we do have one.  Every year we make wreaths out of doughnuts and then eat, if we have room left.  A dozen doughnuts later with some frosting and candy thrown in and we had these:

With each gift from Granny there was a balloon.  Probably the best ever thing you could give my children for theirs sakes, but the worst for me.  The kids have sooo much fun hitting the balloons around and playing with them.  However, it gets to a point when I'm done with all the objects flying around the house and then there is the fighting over which balloon belongs to whom.  Anyway, the children loved them, Peter most of all.  He got right to work and tried to blow one up.

He didn't get very far, but it sure was fun watching him.
