Daniel and the lion's den

This week it was Evan's turn to teach the family home evening lesson. This week's topic was a scripture story so I asked him what his favorite story was and he really didn't know what I was talking about. We have these living scripture video tapes that I let the kids watch on Sundays, so I asked him which movie was his favorite. Out came the answer of Dora. No Ev, what scripture movie is your favorite? After thinking for a bit his reply was Daniel and the lion's den. This was an answer I could work with. I decided to make a lion and Daniel puppet for him to hold as I told the story. Then we brought application to our lives by saying sometimes it feels as if we are being fed to the lions when we try to do right, but Heavenly Father is always there for us. Here are our puppets.
