So much has been happening this summer that now I need to play catch up with my posts. August 15th was the Edgar family reunion and we made the trek down to Burley, ID to visit with family. Again a short trip but lots of fun. It was so nice to see my grandma, aunts and uncles, and my cousins. It has been many years since I've seen them and I've realized that I miss them. I especially miss my cousin Kyle. He is just a few months younger than me and we use to hang out a lot when I visited. Tons of memories and stories. My favorite memory is when he hung from the rafters on Grandma's porch. His pants were always the baggy kind and he had no rear to hold them up. My mom reached up and gave a slight tug and down they started. He dropped so fast to catch them. Great times. Great laughs. More posts will follow as I lay out our time there and all that we did.
This is in the car just outside Boise on our way down. I had a container of gummy nightcrawlers and gave each of the kids one. Alexis digged in with a relish and the boys played with theirs before eating.
Being stuck in her car seat must have been hard but here Lex is taking it easy
We decided to camp outside at Grandma's. Here is our tent village.
There was a cool wind blowing the entire time we were there. Nights were a little chilly and I was as bundled up as I could get. Lex would have stayed in her tent but I worried and thought she would be too cold by herself so she stayed with me and Doug in our tent.
The kids got to run around the yard and play. Lilly's family was there as well as my parents and their three little ones, Brin and Lissa. Here is Sam and Lex playing on the teeter totter of death. Just look at the thing. Once my sister and cousin were playing on it. Another cousin came up and smack a hole in the head. Still has the scars if Iremember right.
